IT Centre Identifier

The IT Centre (ITZ) is your central point of contact for all IT questions, user IDs and access data.

The login details are the same for almost all platforms that you will use regularly (ELO, SSP and Webmail) and are referred to as ITZ identifier. They are created automatically by the ITZ after enrolment.

Please note: Your ITZ identifier is different from your applicant login data. Your applicant ID will be deleted after the start of the semester, so you should access your student ID account as soon as possible and only use this one.

What you should know

The ITZ identifier must be retrieved via the Student Service Portal (SSP). It is not sent by e-mail! Every student (with the exception of participants in preparatory German language courses) can download their ITZ identifier from the online portal a few days after enrolment.

To receive the ITZ identifier, you must log in to your applicant account with your applicant login details. Under "My studies / Student services / Certificates" you will find a password-protected file which you can open by re-entering your applicant login details. There you will find your new access data in the form of three letters (combination of first name and surname) and five numbers (example: Mustermann, Max → mum12345) as well as a password. This is your ITZ identifier, your student access data for all study-related online services.

Once you have received your data, you can log out as an applicant and log back in as a student on the same portal. You should change your password after logging in for the first time.

All participants in preparatory German language courses must contact the IT Centre information desk.
The ITZ identifier gives you access to the university's IT services. These include
- PC workstations in the CIP pools
- Your personal student e-mail account
- Your personal storage space on the network drive (G:\)
- Access to the network (VPN, WLAN) and the e-learning platform
Each account also has a virtual account that can be topped up at the validators. The prerequisite for this is that money has previously been booked to the OTH Regensburg card. This account is required for printing in the CIP pools.
