Regensburg is a lively university city with over 30,000 students. As a result, the housing market is very tight. The search for a room is the student's own responsibility! It is recommended that you start your search as early as possible, as many rooms are allocated early! You should start at least two months in advance, especially in the winter semester.
Student dormitories are the most affordable option, but availability is limited and waiting lists are long. There is no preferential treatment for international students.
OTH Regensburg only has a very limited amount of rooms for rent (see below).
In addition to dormitories, students should search the private housing market. Affordable accommodation close to campus is limited; commuting from surrounding areas may be necessary. There are no extra costs because you can use the semester ticket for buses and trains in the RVV area.
