Enrolment

If your application is successful, you will receive a letter of admission. This will state the deadline for enrolment.

In order to enrol, you must first accept the study place and then submit an application for enrolment. The entire enrolment process is digitalized. You do not have to appear in person at the university and you do not need any originals or certified copies. Upload all the documents specified in the letter of admission to the application portal by the specified deadline.

If you have any questions about your enrolment, please contact the Admissions and Organization Office by email. Please state your full name and your matriculation or applicant number as well as the degree program for which you have applied.

What you should know

Restricted admission degree programmes (NC degree programmes)

For degree programmes with restricted admission (NC degree programmes), you must accept the study place both on hochschulstart.de and in the OTH Regensburg application portal. Please leave at least one hour in between.

Admission-free degree programmes

If your degree programme does not have an NC, you only have to accept the study place in the OTH application portal.

Please note the deadlines in any case! If you do not accept the study place within the deadline stated in the letter of admission, you will lose it.

After your application for enrolment has been processed, you will receive several notifications and (if you have provided a postal address in Germany) your student ID card by post. If you have not provided an address in Germany, you can collect your student ID from the Admissions and Organization Office after your arrival.

Enrolment at the university is only valid for the first semester. For each subsequent semester you mustre-registerand pay the semester fee again.
No. Admission letters are only valid for one semester and admission or enrolment cannot be postponed, so if you are unable to start your studies in the semester for which you have been admitted (e.g. due to visa problems), you will have to reapply.
You can download the certificate of enrollment yourself from the Student Service Portal (SSP ) from September 1 or March 1.
If you are offered a study place but do not have the German language certificate in time, you can usually re-register for a preparatory German language course for the same semester at anmeldung_df(at)oth-regensburg.de. However, you cannot save your place or postpone it to the next semester, but must reapply at the appropriate time.
