Inexpensive Legal Advice
People who cannot afford a lawyer can take advantage of free legal advice. You must provide proof of your income and financial circumstances and submit all the necessary documents.
The application for legal aid (only available in German) can be submitted in person to the Regensburg Local Court or you can send it to:

Once the application has been approved, you can then make an appointment with a lawyer of your choice. Please inform him / her in advance that you are coming via the counseling aid. A basic fee of EUR 10 is charged for the consultation.
Verbraucherservice Bayern (only available in German) also offers low-cost advice (EUR 35 / 30 minutes) on various topics (e.g. consumer law, insurance, finance, etc.). There are sample letters on their homepage that can be used as templates for letters of complaint.

For refugees, the RLC - Refugee Law Clinic Regensburg e. V. at the University of Regensburg offers free legal advice on the topics of accommodation, family reunification / family reunification, work permits, etc.
