What is the International Business Management (EB) degree about?

In the Bachelor's degree program in International Business Management, we prepare you optimally for a specialist or management career at home or abroad. The integrated two-year period abroad will prepare you perfectly for a career in an international working environment.  The year abroad at our partner universities gives you the opportunity to obtain two degrees (double degree).

In the first year of study, we teach you the methodological and content-related basics of business administration and economics and prepare you for your studies abroad in terms of language and culture. In the second year, you will study at one of our partner universities abroad - in Spain and France in the local language, at all other partner universities in English.

You can choose from the following partner universities:

In your third year of study, you will gain extensive practical experience in companies abroad. For the fourth year, you will return to OTH Regensburg and deepen your knowledge of business administration in one of 8 specialisations.

 

  • La Rochelle Business School (Excelia Group)

    With over 3,000 students in France, La Rochelle Business School offers an international atmosphere. 15 Students can take courses in small study groups with individual support and benefit from competence-oriented learning, such as project work. The university is accredited by the AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. Knowledge of French is an advantage, but there is also an English track.
    The German-French branch of the degree program is part of the study program offered by the German-French University (DFH/UFA)and is supported financially by it.



  • Cámarabilbao University Business School Bilbao

    At the Cámarabilbao University Business School Bilbao, in Bilbao, Spain, twelve students can take practice-oriented courses with experienced professors from the business world. With only 400 students enrolled, the university enables close contact with the teaching staff. The courses are mainly offered in English. However, knowledge of Spanish is essential.


  • Escuela Universitaria de Estudios Empresariales de Donostia

    Five places are available to students at the Escuela Unversitaria de Estudios Empresariales de Donostia in San Sebastián, Spain. The university offers a wide range of practice-oriented courses that focus on teaching and research. The modern faculty is part of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), which has a total of 45,000 students on three campuses. The courses are primarily taught in Spanish.


  • Shenzhen Technology University

    Die Shenzhen Technology University liegt in der gleichnamigen Millionenstadt in China und ist damit mitten im beeindruckenden „Silicon Valley von China“. Zehn Studienplätze stehen zur Verfügung. Die moderne Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften (nach deutschem Vorbild) ist jung und dynamisch mit rund 14.000 Studierenden. Die Kurse werden auf Englisch angeboten.


  • Turku University of Applied Sciences

    The Turku University of Applied Sciences in Finland offers seven places for students.
    With over 9,000 students, it is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the country.It is characterized by innovative teaching methods and a high level of internationality, including 40 partner universities worldwide.The courses are taught in English.


  • Arcada University of Applied Sciendes

    Arcada University of Applied Sciences is a Swedish-speaking university of applied sciences in Helsinki, Finland, with around 2700 students and 170 employees.
    The Finnish-Swedish identity and Nordic cooperation are particularly important to Arcada.Courses are held in English, Swedish courses are compulsory.Ten study places are available for IB students.


  • RISEBA University of Business, Arts and Technology

    The RISEBA University of Business, Arts and Technology in Riga, Latvia, is a private university.
    Up to 3,000 students attend courses in business, media/communication and architecture/design.The university is established and EPAS accredited.Lectures are held in English. Five students can complete their semester abroad on site.


  • Prague University of Economics and Business

    The Prague University of Economics and Business is a renowned public business university in Prague, Czech Republic.
    The Faculty of International Relations and the Bachelor's degree course in International Business are particularly well known. The courses are offered in English. There are five study places available.


  • University of the Sunshine Coast
    The University of the Sunshine Coast in Sippy Downs, Australia, has unlimited student capacity. Courses are taught in English. Students enjoy outstanding teaching quality and an authentic Australian study experience. Modern student accommodation is located next to the campus. Tuition fees are approximately €13,700 per year (AUD 22,700).


Strengths of the degree programme

Two degrees. On our Bachelor's degree programme in International Business Management, you have the option of obtaining two degrees. In addition to the Bachelor's degree from OTH Regensburg, you will also obtain the degree from the partner university you attended during your year abroad. 

Future viability or short-lived trends? Trends come and go. But with our Bachelor's degree programme in International Business Management, you will receive a broad-based international education that will keep all your options open in the future. In the 7th and 8th semesters, you will prepare yourself for a specialist business management role, but you will not be limited to this area. Your stays abroad will give you the perfect linguistic and cultural qualifications for working in an international environment.

Theory and practice combined. All professors on the degree programme have many years of professional and, in many cases, management experience. Numerous experts from professional practice complement our team of lecturers in Germany and abroad. This allows you to hit the ground running in practice. Academic careers are open to you after a subsequent Master's programme.

The programme is divided into 4 years of study, with the first and fourth years completed at the OTH Regensburg. In the second year you study at a partner university abroad and in the third year you gain practical experience working for companies abroad.

  • Lectures are mainly held on the main campus of the OTH Regensburg in the buildings of the Faculty of Business Management.

  • In your second year, you will study at a partner university abroad and thus expand your specialist knowledge. You then complete two practical semesters in one or two different foreign companies.
