Electricity is a necessary prerequisite for our modern life. A future-oriented energy supply is also a key issue in industry. By developing energy concepts for industrial properties, energy requirements can be optimized and self-sufficiency can be achieved through generation plants.

What options are there for self-supply? What do I need to consider when using my self-generated electricity? What legal framework conditions are linked to in-house energy supply? What examples of best practice are there?

Against this backdrop, the Regensburg Center of Energy and Resources (RCER) of the East Bavarian Technical University of Regensburg, with the support of the Regensburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Upper Palatinate / Kelheim, organized the "4th Regensburg Energy Congress - Focus: Company Self-Supply" on 26 and 27 February 2019. The two-day event brought together the views and experiences of companies, science and politics.

In addition to numerous presentations from business, science and politics, participants were treated to an interesting accompanying exhibition by renowned companies and institutions as well as a panel discussion and a varied accompanying program.
