What is the (part-time) Business Administration – Leadership, Management and Transformation (MBA) about?

Leadership responsibility emerges where business, technology and organisational thinking come together. This MBA strengthens your ability to evaluate complex challenges from different perspectives and make informed decisions with confidence.

Understanding future developments
The first two semesters focus on the issues transforming organisations today: technology, digitalisation, data, innovation, transformation and sustainability. You assess their impact on value creation, competitiveness and organisational development.

Developing leadership capability
As the programme progresses, you strengthen your ability to:

  • lead people and shape effective collaboration
  • take responsibility for projects and organisational performance
  • set strategic priorities and manage international business decisions

Creating impact across disciplines

You lead transformation initiatives and bring together different interests to reach sustainable and effective decisions.

In doing so, you assume responsibility not only for your own area of expertise, but for the organisation as a whole.

PARTICULARITIES

Strengths of the degree programme

Over 20 years’ experience. Two paths to leadership.

For over 20 years, OTH Regensburg has been equipping professionals for leadership and management roles through its MBA in General Management. The further developed programme builds on this foundation: the Leadership, Management and Transformation specialisation opens the way for individuals with a background in economics to take on strategic leadership responsibilities.

Your path to strategic leadership
You build on your economics degree and dive straight into the more advanced content. Rather than revising the basics, you broaden your profile to include key future-oriented and leadership topics.

Participants on the MBA in General Management, on the other hand, first lay the foundations in business administration.

Where both pathways converge
Both programmes converge during the Advanced Management phase. Find out more in the following section.

The Advanced Management Phase: Leadership meets interdisciplinary expertise.

The heart of the programme.

You will work alongside specialists and managers from other disciplines to tackle the issues that make management challenging in practice.

Interdisciplinarity is firmly embedded in the curriculum: Leadership meets employment law and conflict resolution; international finance meets operational excellence; controlling meets corporate culture; digital business strategy meets data analytics. In this way, you bring together economic, legal, organisational, cultural and technological requirements to inform robust business decisions.

Through dialogue with other disciplines, you refine your perspective, challenge familiar decision-making frameworks and broaden your frame of reference. Diverse professional experiences become an integral part of the learning process.

Your benefits

  • You will evaluate management decisions across functional and disciplinary boundaries.
  • You will translate differing perspectives into a shared strategic direction.
  • You will strengthen the management and decision-making capabilities required to lead in complex organisations.

Learn. Network. Develop.

This programme format brings teaching, discussion and the application of knowledge to your day-to-day working life.
