The first two semesters provide a solid foundation in business administration. You then enter the Advanced Management Phase, where you work alongside participants from the Leadership, Management and Transformation study track on current management challenges.

What is the (part-time) Business Administration – General Management programme about (MBA)?
In the MBA General Management programme, you develop the ability to assess complex management decisions in their broader context. You learn to balance competing objectives, take different stakeholder interests into account and develop solutions that work in practice.
Understand the bigger picture
You learn how organisations are managed and how to prioritise strategic courses of action. You analyse the interplay between markets, organisational structures and value creation and use these insights to identify appropriate courses of action.

Five semesters with a clear progression
The first two semesters provide the foundation in business administration. During the Advanced Management Phase, the two study tracks come together. In your Master's thesis, you apply the knowledge and skills you have acquired to a practical question from your own professional environment.

Studies and organisational matters
So that everything runs smoothly

You receive all important information about the application process, programme structure, dates, on-campus sessions and intensive weeks in good time and in a clear format. This allows you to plan reliably and focus on what matters most.
For organisational questions, the Centre for Further Education and Knowledge Management (ZWW) is your dedicated point of contact throughout your studies.
All face-to-face lectures take place on the OTH Regensburg campus. The entire infrastructure of the university is available to you during your studies (IT equipment, library, student house, canteen, university sports, etc.). You are regularly enrolled, like all other students.
Our study model is specially tailored to the needs of working professionals and allows for an optimal balance between studies, career and private life:
- Online courses: Fridays from 3:00 pm to 7:45 pm
- On-campus sessions: Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm on campus
- Full-time weeks: at the beginning of each semester (Monday to Friday)
- Recordings: selected online lectures are available for review
- There are generally no lectures during the summer months.
- The fifth semester is devoted exclusively to the Master's thesis.
The degree programme is accredited and bears the seal of the Accreditation Council.
Completed university degree: at least six theoretical semesters with usually 210 ECTS, but at least 180 ECTS. Equivalent domestic or foreign degrees are also possible (to be assessed by the Master's Committee).
Professional experience: at least one year of qualified professional practice after the first degree.
Language skills:
German: DSH-2 or equivalent certificate (for non-German-speaking education)
English: Level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)The one year of qualified professional experience can also be acquired after commencing the programme. In this case, entry is via the MBA module programme.
The Master's Committee for the MBA programme is the decision-making body responsible for admission issues.
