The research landscape at OTH Regensburg is characterised by interdisciplinary collaboration and strong regional roots. Joint research projects involving experts from across faculties, disciplines and laboratories – this is the essence of the Research Centres (RC). Through these centres, OTH Regensburg has, since 2012 and to an extent rarely seen at other universities, demonstrated its broad research expertise in key fields of the future. Furthermore, our researchers work on specific research topics with a clear thematic focus at established institutes . In addition, the Technology Campuses complement the university’s research profile by driving forward application-oriented projects in close cooperation with regional companies. Collaborative research also plays a crucial role: within the research clusters, close cooperation with OTH Amberg-Weiden is a key priority. Finally, there are various smaller research groups within the individual faculties.
