Dual study program

There are several ways to search for a dual practical training partner:

THE "STUDY-PLACE-PORTAL" from hochschule dual

The Study Place Portal lists companies that have offered dual study programs in the past or would like to offer them in the future. Enter your desired degree program in the search field outlined in blue. When you click on “Study Programs,” you will see all currently available combinations for this degree program.

When you click on your desired combination, you will be taken to a results page where you can find more information about this combination (i.e., bachelor's or master's degree program + corresponding dual model). At the bottom of this page, you will also find an overview of the current cooperation partners who are actively looking for dual students. OTH Regensburg has already concluded a cooperation agreement with these partners.

The traffic light system (red/green) indicates whether dual places are available at the cooperation partner at the desired start date. If this is the case (traffic light is green), you can apply for the advertised position (to be on the safe side, please search for the job advertisement on the cooperation partner's homepage or contact the specified contact person at the company, authority, or institution by phone or email).

Important: Listing on the study place portal is voluntary for our cooperation partners. This means that not all of OTH Regensburg's cooperation partners are listed there and that some of the information may not be up to date. We apologize for any inconvenience.

 

SEARCH JOB PORTALS FOR DUAL POSITION ADVERTISEMENTS

HOCHSCHULJOBBÖRSE

The university job exchange is a job portal specifically for prospective students, students, and university graduates. Here, companies, public authorities, and institutions have the opportunity to advertise dual job vacancies free of charge.

OTHER JOB PORTALS

Jobs for dual study programs can also be advertised on popular job portals. It is also advisable to keep an eye on regional job portals.

 

CONTACT COMPANIES YOURSELF

You can also search for a practical partner for the dual study program yourself or suggest a dual study program in your desired field of study to a company, public authority, or institution.

Please note that all employers who wish to offer a dual study program with the university must sign a cooperation agreement.

In this case, you are welcome to take the initiative!

Search for potentially suitable cooperation partners, for example in job exchanges.

If a company has any questions about dual study programs, please refer them to the website of the umbrella organization for dual study programs in Bavaria, “hochschule dual”. The umbrella organization offers a wealth of information about dual study programs (sample contracts, checklists for companies, and much more) as well as an FAQ section with frequently asked questions.

In principle, each employer decides for themselves when and how many dual positions will be offered. In cooperative study programs, some cooperation partners begin searching for suitable candidates approximately one year before the start of training.

However, other dual positions in this model are still available for those who make a last-minute decision a few months or even weeks before the start of training. Check with your preferred cooperation partner in good time to find out how and when the application documents must be submitted.
