March 2025

  • We have once again put together a wide range of workshops for the summer semester 2025. We will deal with current topics as teaching, university-specific content and tools. For example, we will introduce the assessment server for digital examination formats in more detail, take a look at the possibilities of the Virtual University of Bavaria and deal with intercultural communication at the university.

Registration is now open and we look forward to many productive encounters in real and virtual space. As always, participation in the workshops is free of charge for lecturers and employees of OTH Regensburg. The workshops are scheduled for 90 minutes (unless otherwise stated in the description). When registering, please note whether the respective events will take place on campus or in our Zoom room

  • Impulses wanted!

In order to meet the requirements of the modern educational landscape and promote individual educational biographies, compact and flexible courses are required. Micro-credentials courses meet this requirement by providing learners with specific knowledge, skills and competencies in small learning units of 1-5 ECTS that are tailored to social, personal, cultural or labor market needs. This establishes a new format in the educational landscape that complements traditional qualifications with a tailor-made compact format and can be placed between certificates of attendance and university certificates in terms of the scope of learning.

At the same time, micro-credentials are subject to EU-wide standards that guarantee the transparency and transferability of qualifications.

If you are interested in this topic or would like to support a pilot project at OTH Regensburg, we look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Verena Horrmann at servicestelle-lehre(at)oth-regensburg.de with your questions, suggestions and ideas on the topic of micro-credentials.

February 2025

  • As of 01.02.2025, we welcome Antje Nissler to the team of the Teaching and Didactics Service Center as a new managing consultant. She will take over the management of the Service Center LuD from Andrea de Santiago. Dr. Irina Augustin will take over as deputy head.

  • Would you like to add digital learning scenarios to your course? From 01.09.2025, the Bavarian Virtual University (vhb) will be offering lecturers the opportunity to create SMART units, i.e. 45-minute learning snacks. The funding amount for new learning units is up to €3,000. These learning units will then be available to students from all over Bavaria. You will be supported by our Instructional Designer, Manuel Glondys. If you are interested in the funding and support, please contact manuel.glondys(at)oth-regensburg.de by April 30, 2025.

Further information can be found at https://www.vhb.org/lehrende/smart-vhb-blended-learning/foerderrunden/

  • Please take a moment to check your ELO courses and delete any content that's no longer needed.

    Your advantages:

    • More overview for you and your students
    • Faster navigation in current courses
    • Resource-saving use of storage space

Thank you for your help with the digital clean-up!

  • In the current episode, we focus on the topic of "Video production in teaching". A lightboard is an illuminated glass panel that is labeled with neon pens and allows eye contact with the camera. It therefore offers creative possibilities for your teaching. You are welcome to view the lightboard in our studio (P232) or arrange a filming appointment directly with the Center for Teaching and Learning: servicestelle-lehre(at)oth-regensburg.de

December 2024

  • In the workshop, participants will learn about the SCALE-UP concept (Student-Centered Active Learning Environment for Upside-down Pedagogies) and possible effects on student learning, experience various collaborative learning activities for themselves and develop possible learning activities for their students for direct use based on their learning objectives. The workshop will also show how the concepts can be transferred to "normal" lecture halls.

  • Periods for the planned funding round 2025-1:
