If you are studying at the OTH Regensburg for one or two semesters as part of an exchange programme, you can apply for accommodation in a student dormitory using the following form.
Please read the application carefully before submitting it. To ensure that everything is displayed correctly, please fill in the form on your computer, not on your mobile phone.

Application deadline:

For the summer semester: 1 December
For the winter semester: 1 June

Later applications cannot be considered!

Note on the application form

The following application is aimed exclusively at international exchange students. International students who are completing an entire degree programme at the OTH Regensburg have to use the application form on the website for international degree-seeking students.

Please note that you as an exchange student only need to apply for accommodation via the International Office by using this form and not by using any additional forms on dorm websites.

Application for Accommodation in a Student Dormitory in Regensburg (via the International Office)

Zimmerarten/ Types of Rooms:
Aktuell haben wir 3 unterschiedliche Arten von Wohnheimzimmern zur Verfügung./ Currently there are 3 dorm room types available:

- Einzelzimmer / single room (mit geteiltem Bad u. geteilter Küche/ with shared bathroom & kitchen)
- Einzelzimmer mit eigenem Bad / single room with private bathroom (mit geteilter Küche/ with shared kitchen)
- Apartment (mit eigenem Bad+Küchenzeile / apartment (with own bathroom+kitchenette)

Bitte beachten Sie jedoch, dass Zimmer mit eigenem Bad und Apartments nur in sehr begrenzter Anzahl zur Verfügung stehen. Falls sich mehr Studierende für diese beiden Zimmerarten bewerben als Zimmer zur Verfügung stehen, können wir manchen Studierenden leider trotzdem nur ein Einzelzimmer mit geteiltem Bad anbieten, auch wenn sie das nicht als Präferenz angegeben haben./

Please note, however, that rooms with private bathrooms and apartments are only available in very limited numbers. If we have more applications than available rooms of these two types, we may unfortunately only be able to offer some students a single room with a shared bathroom, even if they have not indicated this as their preference.

Abschließende Bestätigung / final confirmation

I accept that I have to pay a deposit in advance. This sum will be refunded 8-10 weeks after the end of the contract and after leaving the room clean and without damages. Exchange students have to pay an additional housing fee which is not refundable. At the end of the renting period, you have to leave the room 3 working days before the end of the month.

2.
The International Office offers only a limited number of rooms to exchange students. These rooms differ in price, size and quality. We will try to fulfill your wishes, but we cannot promise it. For more information, please visit:

3.
For exchange students, the time of staying in a dorm room is limited to 1-2 semesters, depending on the duration of their stay.

4.
For students who get a room offered by the International Office the participation in the Housing Introduction Event Meeting by the International Office is mandatory.

5.
I agree that my personal data will be passed on to various student dormitories and private landlords for administrative purposes. I know that I can revoke the consent at any time.

Annahmeerklärung / Acceptance of Housing

Fees to pay for your exchange semester:

- Security deposit of the dorm: €350 (refundable if you move out without causing damage and with no outstanding debts)
- Accommodation fee: €85 (non-refundable)
- Semester fee: approx. €201 (as of winter semester 25/26, increase possible for summer semester 26, exact amount to be announced)

Please transfer the total amount of approx. €636 (increase possible) only after you have received a definite confirmation of your accommodation. You will receive the bank details with the official room confirmation. Your transfer must be received by 30 June or 6 January.

Hiermit erkläre ich mich einverstanden, ein Zimmerangebot des International Office zu akzeptieren. Ich weiß, dass die Mietdauer volle 6 Monate beträgt (März bis Ende August, September bis Ende Februar). / I hereby declare that I accept a room offer from the International Office.
