What is your funded project?
The project is aimed at students at VŠTE České Budějovice and OTH Regensburg, offering them new perspectives on the Bavarian-Czech border region as a shared area of opportunity. The focus is on entrepreneurial thinking, cross-border exchange and the development of innovative ideas. Part of the programme includes, amongst other things, the AW module ‘Entrepreneurial Thinking and Action in the Border Region’. Supplementary activities, individual support and a joint competition help all students to further develop their ideas, put them into practice and strengthen the innovative potential of the border region.
What excites you about the project?
“What particularly excites me about the project is the open and straightforward collaboration with our Czech colleagues. At the same time, the beautiful Bavarian-Czech border region, with its diversity and potential, clearly demonstrates how many opportunities arise when ideas are conceived and developed across borders. This creates an inspiring environment in which students can discover new perspectives, try out their own approaches and receive support along the way.” – Dr.-Ing. Nina Sindersberger
How can the findings from the project be applied in practice?
The findings of the project can be applied in everyday life, particularly in contexts where people develop ideas, recognise opportunities and collaborate across borders. Students learn to view challenges from different perspectives and to derive concrete solutions from them. This entrepreneurial mindset not only helps with the development of their own business ideas, but also in their future professional lives – for example, in identifying new opportunities, working in international teams or dealing creatively with change. In this way, the experience gained in the project extends beyond the university context and can contribute to the long-term strengthening of the border region.
