Transfer Manager Dr Moritz Bauer gave a keynote speech on this topic entitled “Strengthening the Future – Innovation Transfer in the Open Regional CampusCollaboration Project”. In his speech, he highlighted how local businesses can benefit from the knowledge and innovative research at OTH Regensburg. “Collaborations with universities are becoming a strategic competitive advantage for many companies; not only to gain new ideas, but also to establish contact with potential skilled workers at an early stage,” he said, citing an example.
TC Kelheim and TC Neustadt/Donau also in attendance
In addition to the keynote speech by ORCa, there was a welcome address by the host, District Administrator Christian Nerb, as well as a brief introduction to the “Hidden Reserves” project currently underway in the Kelheim district and the business survey due to take place this autumn. The highlight of the event was the presentation of the “TOP Companies and Newcomers in the Kelheim District” awards. These went to Optik Jäkel GmbH from Kelheim, Gammel Engineering GmbH from Abensberg, Jura Holzbau GmbH from Riedenburg, Reng Industriesysteme GmbH from Neustadt and Wachmeister Sicherheit GmbH from Kelheim.
In addition to ORCa, the following organisations took part in a joint exchange as part of a keynote and dialogue forum: TC Neustadt/Donau, TC Kelheim/Hydrogen Cluster – both from OTH Regensburg – as well as the Mainburg Technology Campus of Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences, MINT Labs Regensburg e.V., the Regensburg Energy Agency e.V. and the Lower Bavarian Continuing Education Initiators (WBI).
