Here you will find further information on data protection at OTH Regensburg.

Your data will be collected, processed and stored for the purpose of providing information about further education programmes offered by OTH Regensburg and, in the event of registration, for the purpose of planning, organising and conducting events on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR. In addition, your data will be used to store your certificate, degree certificate etc.

Your personal data may be passed on within OTH Regensburg to the following departments or organisational units for the following reasons:

• Department of studies for enrolment
• IT Centre for issuing user IDs
• Finance department for posting invoices
• Lecturers for conducting courses
• Examination board and course directors for the purpose of admission decisions
• Email address to Alumni & Career Service for the purpose of contacting you regarding your admission to the alumni portal
• Faculties or other internal OTH organisational units for the purpose of contacting you with relevant course information
• International Office for statistical purposes in international summer schools

Outside OTH Regensburg, your personal data may be passed on to the following entities:

• Staatsoberkasse Bayern in Landshut for initiating dunning procedures in the event of unpaid payment requests
• Studierendenwerk Oberpfalz/Niederbayern for issuing canteen guest cards (name)
• Partners of OTH Regensburg in the context of organising OTH Regensburg conferences (name, company/institution) in the event of registration for the relevant conference

For information purposes, we store your contact details for as long as we anticipate your legitimate interest in our further education programmes or until you object to the storage of your data. If you register for a further education course, the data collected will be stored for the duration of the course. After completion of the course, the data will be stored in reduced form until the end of the statutory retention period.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

• If your personal data is processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR).
• If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to have it corrected (Art. 16 GDPR).
• If the legal requirements are met, you can request the erasure or restriction of processing and object to the processing (Articles 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).
• If you have consented to data processing or if a contract for data processing exists and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

If you exercise your rights as described above, OTH Regensburg will check whether the legal requirements for this are met. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Bavarian State Commissioner for Data Protection.

If you have consented to data processing by the Centre for Further Education and Knowledge Management at OTH Regensburg by means of a corresponding declaration, you can revoke your consent at any time for the future or revoke it in part (e.g. with regard to information and references to further education programmes). This does not affect the legality of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation.

You are obliged to provide your data. This obligation arises from your registration for a further education event offered by the Centre for Further Education and Knowledge Management at OTH Regensburg (Art. 6 (1b)). The Centre for Further Education and Knowledge Management at OTH Regensburg requires the data requested in the web-based registration form, via email or in the application form in order to process your registration for the event and to organise the event. It is therefore necessary that the registration form is completed fully and correctly and submitted with the accompanying required documents. Without this data, your registration for the event cannot be processed.
