While the students at OTH Regensburg were enjoying their semester break, a nine-member delegation from Italy was welcomed to the campus on 17 February 2026. Among the guests were representatives from Krones AG, the Kosme IT Innovation Hub in Parma (Italy) and teachers from the IST Academy Meccatronico Veneto in Vicenza (Italy). The group visited Regensburg as part of an Erasmus mobility programme for teachers.
After being welcomed by the International Office, the guests were introduced to OTH Regensburg. Kathrin Köpf from the General Student Advisory Service then presented the concept of dual study programmes and gave an overview of the wide range of study options available.
During a campus tour, the visitors gained insights into research and teaching. They were particularly impressed by the laboratory tour of the Control Engineering Lab by Prof. Hermann Ketterl from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the racing cars of Dynamics e.V., the Regensburg Formula Student Team. The event concluded with a joint lunch in the canteen with Prof. Dr Oliver Steffens, Vice President for Research and International Affairs at OTH Regensburg. The morning came to an end in a pleasant atmosphere and the personal exchanges were deepened.
