Energy-efficient and resource-conserving building materials and construction methods

The research cluster "Energy-efficient and resource-conserving building materials and construction methods (ERB)" is a competent partner in the research and further development of innovative building materials and construction methods of all kinds and was established in 2014.

Interesting developments are emerging, particularly with regard to the energy transition and the resulting need to rebuild existing settlements and infrastructure, which we - as a research cluster of OTH Amberg-Weiden and OTH Regensburg - are supporting as part of research projects.

Goals & focal points

We see ourselves as a partner for innovative projects, particularly in the following key areas:

  • Mineral binders and concrete technology
  • Development of sustainable concrete formulations
  • Research and application of temporarily flowable backfill materials for underground infrastructures
  • Noise and vibration protection on traffic routes
  • Energy-efficient treatment of secondary materials
  • Measurement and monitoring technology for construction sites
  • Web-based system monitoring

We are committed to being a competent and reliable partner in all issues from the development of research projects to the utilisation of the results, primarily through

  • Acquiring publicly and/or privately funded research and development projects of all kinds
  • Carrying out research projects of all kinds
  • Arranging contacts with research and project partners from industry and universities
  • Participation in numerous standardisation committees and working groups
  • Application and utilisation of project results
  • Training of young scientists
  • Organisation of conferences, workshops and network meetings

Publications by persons represented by OTH Regensburg can be found on the publication server.
