Health and Social Sciences

We combine health and social sciences, medical informatics, engineering, economics , architecture and civil engineering. Through this interdisciplinary research, we develop forward-looking solutions for a digital, technology-based and patient-centered healthcare system. In doing so, we also consider the design of health-promoting buildings and infrastructures that support the best possible medical, nursing and therapeutic care. Against the backdrop of social transformation processes, our research contributes to a society worth living in, which creates optimal conditions for biopsychosocial well-being and living, learning and working together. In doing so, we are always in dialogue with politicians, civil society organizations and the general public.
