In the 2026/27 winter semester, OTH Regensburg will once again be launching the supplementary programme ‘Interdisciplinary Competence (SWIFT)’ for students from all disciplines.
The supplementary programme offers students the opportunity to specifically enhance their degree with interdisciplinary skills and to refine their personal profile for their future professional career. The focus is on future-oriented skills and the ability to examine complex issues from different perspectives.
The programme comprises three modules: in the first two modules, students each select a ZiL module outside their own discipline from a wide range of options, for example in the fields of business, digitalisation, sustainability, society or soft skills. In the third module, participants work together with industry partners on real-world challenges from business and society as part of an interdisciplinary project seminar, developing innovative solutions. A renowned industry partner from the region has been secured for the third module. Students work on real-world issues from the business environment and jointly develop innovative solutions. In doing so, they gain valuable experience in teamwork, project management and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The supplementary programme is aimed at students from all faculties who wish to look beyond the boundaries of their own degree programme and acquire additional qualifications. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate documenting their interdisciplinary skills.
