Mount Memory is developing a digital platform for the period following a death. It creates a protected space for remembrance where relatives can commemorate the deceased together, leave personal messages or share memories. The aim is to enable dignified and long-term condolences even across geographical distances.
The two founders have close ties to OTH Regensburg: Leonie Wagner took part in the university's Female Founders Programme, which supports female founders in developing and implementing their business ideas. Philip Kristen completed a bachelor's degree in Intelligent Systems Engineering at OTH Regensburg.

Wagner and Kristen's concept also impressed at the ‘Tiger der TechBase’ pitch event at TechBase Regensburg. Six start-up teams presented their business ideas to around 150 guests and a jury of experts. In the end, the winner was decided by a public vote.
The award ceremony also highlighted the strong role played by OTH Regensburg in the regional start-up ecosystem: the Tiger trophy was presented by Team RocketMIND, winner of the ‘Tiger der TechBase’ in summer 2025 and also a start-up with roots at OTH Regensburg. RocketMIND is developing a ‘phygital’ – i.e. physical and digital – health companion for children that combines an app and sensor hardware to playfully strengthen self-esteem, resilience and emotional competence.

Mount Memory and RocketMIND are also currently participating in the opf.rocks ideas competition organised by Oberpfalz Marketing e. V. The rankings will be determined by online voting. Until 22 March, the public can vote for their favourites and thus decide which projects will be considered by the jury. Anyone interested can support the OTH start-ups and cast their vote. Voting takes place online via the opf.hub.
