The results published today by the student portal StudyCheck.de show outstanding performance by OTH Regensburg. With a score of 9.22 out of a maximum of 10 and a recommendation rate of 99 per cent, it is the highest-rated university in Germany in the 5,000–15,000 student category. All universities of applied sciences and universities in the state were taken into account.
Students particularly praise the course content, the quality of teaching, the facilities and the good organisation of the university. The ranking is based on experience reports from the 2025 calendar year, with a total of 583 evaluations.

The StudyCheck.de ranking
Every year, StudyCheck.de honours the most popular universities and colleges in Germany. All published student reviews from a given year are used for the ranking. For the 2026 award, 87,093 reviews from 583 universities and colleges were included in the evaluation. The evaluation takes into account both the star rating given by students and the recommendation rate. With an average star rating of 4.27 and a recommendation rate of 99 per cent, OTH Regensburg ranks first nationwide in the category of 5,000 to 15,000 students.
