Cooperation

First Bulgarian partner university for OTH Regensburg

With the Angel Kanchev University of Ruse, OTH Regensburg has gained a new partner university in Bulgaria. The partnership is intended to promote student and researcher exchanges.

From now on, OTH Regensburg will be collaborating with the Bulgarian University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”. This was formalised by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by the President of OTH Regensburg, Prof. Dr Ralph Schneider, and the Vice-President of the University of Ruse, Prof. Dr Galina Ivanova.

What makes this special is that the signing took place on Bulgaria’s national holiday and marks OTH Regensburg’s first partnership with a Bulgarian institution.

Laying the foundations for academic exchange

The partnership brings together shared technical and business disciplines common to both institutions. This future collaboration will foster networking among students and researchers, opening up opportunities for teaching, research and academic exchange.

The collaboration builds on ERASMUS agreements previously concluded in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical and information technology, computer science, mathematics and business management.

OTH Regensburg and the University of Ruse are members of the Danube Rectors’ Conference, a network of universities from the Danube region that promotes academic cooperation.

Bridges between Regensburg and Ruse

The new partnership strengthens both universities’ international cooperation and also reflects a shared commitment to European academic exchange.

OTH Regensburg is delighted to further expand academic dialogue and looks forward with confidence to future projects with the University of Ruse.
