As part of the ‘Early Bird Bau’ event, prospective students were able to experience civil engineering in both theory and practice. Lectures, a site visit, practical project work and discussions with students and lecturers provided a comprehensive insight into the degree programme and its diverse fields of application.
The Faculty of Business and Management also opened its doors to prospective students during the ‘Early Bird Business Studies’ event. Over three days, participants gained an insight into the Business Studies degree programme and everyday life at the university. Around 60 prospective students took part in the programme. It was particularly encouraging that, at the end of the event, around 20 of them said they could envisage studying at OTH Regensburg as early as the coming winter semester.
At the ‘Early Bird Electrical and Information Technology’ event, school pupils were able to experience technology first-hand and discover the world of electrical and information technology. The aim of the programme was to provide a realistic impression of the degree programme and the wide range of career prospects.
The Early Bird Social Work programme centred on lectures, practical workshops and discussions with lecturers, students and experienced social education workers. This gave participants authentic insights into the degree programmes and their future career field.
Every year, the Early Bird programmes at OTH Regensburg demonstrate anew just how valuable personal insights and direct encounters are for choosing a degree programme. They offer the opportunity to learn about degree programmes, ask questions and gain initial experience of everyday university life – an important guide on the path to deciding which degree to pursue.
