Exhibition ‘Together against sexism’ at OTH Regensburg

The exhibition provides clearly presented information and current figures on various manifestations of sexism and its individual and societal effects.

From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, the exhibition ‘Together against Sexism’ will be on display in the university's Komm-Zone in front of the cafeteria. With this presentation, the university is sending a clear message against sexism and sexual harassment – issues that affect many people but are often difficult to talk about.

The travelling exhibition was initiated by the alliance ‘Together Against Sexism’ and developed by the European Academy for Women in Politics and Business Berlin e. V. (EAF Berlin). The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). Twelve posters in German and English are on display in the Komm-Zone.

The exhibition offers clearly presented information and current figures on various manifestations of sexism and its individual and societal effects. At the same time, it highlights concrete options for action: visitors learn how they can actively combat sexism in everyday life and support those affected.

By providing this free exhibition, the ‘Together Against Sexism’ alliance aims to support organisations in making the topic accessible to a broad public and promoting an open, informed exchange on the subject.

‘We warmly invite all members of the university community to visit the exhibition and engage with this important social issue,’ emphasises Jana Faerber, Equal Opportunities Officer and Confidential Advisor for Equal Treatment at OTH Regensburg.
