On 27 November, the Open Pitch & Snack webinar series took place in a new edition, for the first time in English. Three researchers from OTH Regensburg presented their current projects in short, concise pitches for which they are currently seeking cooperation partners from industry. Participating company representatives gained valuable insights into ongoing research initiatives and potential collaborative innovation projects. In the future, the format will also present international funding opportunities.
As the name suggests, the format provides a pleasant yet informative atmosphere: listen, learn something new, and easily connect with researchers.
In this first English-language edition, Professor Solveig Groß, Professor of Midwifery Science and Human Medicine, opened the session by presenting her research project on combating preeclampsia – a serious pregnancy-related condition. She was followed by Professor Aida Nonn, Professor of Engineering Mechanics and Material Simulation, who introduced her current project on the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. The session concluded with Professor Markus Westner, Professor of Business Informatics, who presented his project focusing on IT management.
