COLLABORATIVE RESEARCH
Within the framework of these research projects, partners from academia and industry work together on a specific challenge with the aim of generating new scientific knowledge. The projects are funded by international or national public funding bodies (e.g. DFG, BMBF, EU, foundations).
CONTRACT RESEARCH
In contract research, a company commissions a university with a research or development project. The company defines the specific scope of services and bears the costs. It benefits from the university’s scientific expertise and infrastructure (e.g. well-equipped laboratories).
LABORATORY SERVICES
A company commissions the university with laboratory work, such as measurement series, material analyses, expert opinions, feasibility studies, customer satisfaction surveys, consulting services, and more. The university applies established methods and validated knowledge, and provides the company with the results.
