On 23 and 24 October 2024, the OTH Regensburg campus will once again be transformed into a vibrant careers market. Connecta, one of the largest company contact fairs in Bavaria, will be opening its doors for the 28th time under the motto ‘Aiming high - a flying start to your career’. The fair, which is organised with great commitment by students, offers visitors the perfect opportunity to make contact with potential employers at an early stage and find out about exciting internships, working student positions and career starts.
Since its beginnings in 1996, when just 22 companies took part, Connecta has developed into one of the most important careers fairs in Bavaria. This year, the Connecta e.V. team will once again welcome more than 250 companies from Regensburg and the surrounding area. The volunteer-run association behind the fair now has over 120 active members who are divided into eleven different departments. Project managers Christina Auburger and Martin Beck are particularly pleased about the considerable increase in membership this year. This is a sign that students at OTH and the University of Regensburg are still motivated to get involved on a voluntary basis and make valuable contacts beyond the boundaries of their degree programme.
The exhibition tent will be even bigger in 2024
In 2024, visitors can once again expect a number of new features: Thanks to the expanded exhibition tent, previously more remote stand locations can now be accommodated right in the heart of the campus. A digital, interactive map will make it easier to find your way around the fair, and the popular career talks will return after a break. Specialist presentations on all aspects of starting a career will offer valuable insights into topics such as conducting salary negotiations and relevant skills for career starters.

Application document check and professional application photos
As an additional supporting programme at Connecta 2024, it will once again be possible to take professional application photos and have your application documents checked by experts. It will also be possible to take part in speed connecting again. For the informal job interview, interested parties can book a 15-minute slot with their favourite company in advance without having to submit application documents in advance.
