Next Steps

  • Once you have received a confirmation of placement from the International Office, the further procedure is as follows:

The International Office submits a nomination to the partner university. As a rule, the partner will then contact you within a short time by e-mail and send you information about the courses, the exact start of the semester, the required documents, visa, etc.

If possible, only submit your ERASMUS and PROMOS funding applications once you have already been in contact with the partner university and your courses have been decided or you already have a Learning Agreement, but in any case before your stay abroad.

The departmental international coordinator of your faculty is solely responsible for all questions regarding courses and credit transfer.

Make sure that you have valid travel documents (in particular a sufficiently valid passport/identity card) This is, of course, especially relevant for those going to a partner university outside Europe.

You can find information on entry requirements here:
    https://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/de/

Should you have any questions or problems, you can always get in touch with your contact person at the International Office.

  • It may happen that your course selection changes within the first four weeks of your study abroad. You should discuss these with the departmental international coordinator of your faculty. If you receive ERASMUS funding, upload the amended Learning Agreement including all necessary signatures to the Mobility Online Tool.

  • At the end of your stay, please have the exact duration confirmed for ERASMUS with the "Letter of Confirmation" at the International Office of the partner university.

This must be uploaded to Mobility-Online together with the other documents.

Here you can find out which documents we still need from you: https://www.oth-regensburg.de/international/erasmus.html  (in the "Information leaflet" under the respective funding year).

Your transcript of records from abroad will either be sent to you directly by e-mail or the International Office will receive it in paper form by post. As soon as we receive your transcript, we will inform you by e-mail and you can then collect it from the International Office.

You will then take the transcript of records to your departmental international coordinator for credit transfer.

Transferring grades and credits is the sole responsibility of your faculty. Please contact the faculty to find out the correct procedure.
