Nursing meets high-tech: interdisciplinary teaching with XR you can touch

In an interdisciplinary course, lecturers from the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences impressively demonstrated how modern technology can be integrated into the training of nursing staff in a practical way.

Extended reality (XR) has long been more than just a future trend - the technology is also finding its way into nursing training. In Prof. Dr. Sabine Jaritz's International Strategy lecture on the Master's degree course in International Management, Prof. Dr. Christa Mohr, Anselm Stadler, Cheryl Heinz and Stephanie Teves from the Faculty of Social and Health Sciences demonstrated how virtual and augmented reality can be used effectively in the initial, continuing and further training of nursing staff.

The special feature: The students not only received theoretical insights, but were also able to try out XR applications for themselves in a practical hands-on session. The enthusiasm was palpable - many were impressed by the realistic possibilities and the interdisciplinary exchange.

The cross-faculty collaboration clearly demonstrates the added value that interdisciplinary teaching offers students at OTH Regensburg.
