Upon enrollment, the study relationship at the university is established. It is normally the result of an admission to the university in a study place allocation procedure (in admission-restricted and free study program).
Applicants who have received an offer of admission must register by post within a specified deadline. The enrollment deadline and the further procedure will be indicated on the application for enrollment (applicants for advanced semesters and Master's on the notification of admission), which you will receive as a pdf file to download when you have completed both online declarations of acceptance (via hochschulstart.de and HISinOne).
Since the enrollment deadlines presumably end in August for a winter semester and in February for a summer semester, (enrollments for Master's and students changing their study program in a higher semester take place shortly before the semester begins), the deadline will therefore fall during the vacation period. As you have to enroll by post, please note that you should not book vacations during this time. After all, your professional future is at stake and a holiday should be secondary. The following documents must generally be submitted for postal enrollment at the university:
- Application for enrollment with other documents required by the university depending on the individual case (you will receive this after completing the online declaration of acceptance in the application portal Bewerbungsportal ),
- proof of health insurance (usually 3 pages),
- Copy of a valid identity card / passport,
You will receive the bank details and the payment reference for the bank transfer with the notification of admission/application for enrollment.
