International network

Civil engineering has always been a profession with an international dimension and context. Besides looking good on your CV/résumé, construction companies often insist on international experience and knowledge of a foreign language as part of the job specification. Over the years the Faculty of Civil Engineering has built up an extensive network of international contacts and student exchange partnerships. You might choose to spend a semester studying abroad or write your final-year dissertation as part of an exchange scheme – options which civil engineering students take advantage of every year.
